Featuring special speakers: Tom Kloza and Michael Davis

About Tom....

Tom Kloza is among the founders of Oil Price Information Service (OPIS), which is now a subsidiary of IHS Markit, the world’s most comprehensive source for analysis of energy prices and supply.

Tom has covered the oil business for more than 40 years, and even traded some of the first NYMEX futures contracts back in 1978.  In 2014, Tom was the first major oil analyst to predict that crude oil prices could crash below $30 bbl. He has tracked North American gasoline, diesel and heating oil prices extensively and is regarded as one of the most objective analysts on fossil fuels. Unlike most TV pundits, he holds no positions in oil stocks, futures, or options.

Through his career, he has watched as crude oil prices traded as low as $9.75 bbl and as high as $145 bbl. His expertise includes behavioral analysis on the magical impact that rapidly changing gasoline prices have on the American public.

Tom serves as Global Head of Energy Analysis for OPIS and is known as one of the most irreverent and distinctive speakers on North American energy matters. He has appeared multiple times on nearly every mainstream network as well as business channel and is often in more newspapers than the Jumble or Sudoko. You can follow him on twitter @tomkloza

About Michael....

What can we say about our next speaker that you can’t tell by looking at him…he’s visited convenience and fuel retailing sites in 34 countries and has eaten hot dogs in every single one of them.  Mike is the VP, Member Services for NACS, the industry trade association representing 155 thousand locations in the US with members in over 50 countries.  His team supports its 2,100 retail members both domestically and internationally.
