About the Leading Women in Petroleum Committee

NCPCM has formed a committee called "Leading Women in Petroleum" and we want your company and your employees to be a part of it. Any woman can join, members and non-members, so please forward this along to any women in your company that would benefit.

The vision for the Leading Women in Petroleum committee strives to educate, empower, and inspire women to grow as successful and strong leaders within the petroleum industry.

Committee Objectives are:
• Provide practical tools and strategies to lead teams effectively & drive business growth.
• Inspire women to overcome obstacles and break down barriers.
• Empower women to explore unique opportunities for female leaders in the petroleum industry.
• Equip women with the skills & resources they need to succeed.
• Foster meaningful connections and collaborations.
• Encourage and provide mentorship to the next generation of female leaders to achieve their full potential.

Who should participate?

1. Aspiring female leaders.  Let's build a support network around us on our journey and help us be successful.

2. Female Supervisors & Department Heads.  a.k.a The women who ensure things are done correctly – on schedule and on target!

3. Female business owners and co-owners.  They bring invaluable experience to inspire the next generation of Leading Women.

Did you know? Women constitute approximately 22% of the global oil and gas industry's workforce.  In the convenience store sector, women represent a higher proportion, making up about 57.7% of the workforce.

Voices of Impact

Quotes from industry leaders about the importance of women’s contributions to petroleum and convenience

Natalie Hardin, Territory Account Manager for Campbell Oil Company
“I got hang out with a lot of AMAZING, road paving women today at the 2024 Leading Women in Petroleum Spring April Meeting. We were tasked to think about how we can be better- what are we great at? and how do we get even better? We are all really good at one thing!! So instead of being a Jack of all trades and a master of none- what do you shine at?“

Geological Resources, Inc. proudly stands behind Leading Women in Petroleum! “Tomie Benton from GRI, alongside numerous other influential women in the petroleum industry, played a pivotal role in founding this group. We are thrilled to witness its expansion and impact!”
